Job Summary:

AutoRecruit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to lead our workshop team. As a Diagnostic Technician/Foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the workshop, handling diagnostics for our sites, and training and mentoring staff to ensure the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical advice to customers on vehicle issues
  • Mentor, train, and provide workshop support to staff members
  • Produce repair orders and ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Attend technical training sessions to stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Collaborate with all staff in the department to achieve common goals
  • Liaise with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow and meet time constraints
  • Diagnose complex vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
  • Assist workshop technicians with technical issues and provide guidance
  • Order parts and materials as needed
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment
  • Ensure compliance with warranty requirements and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Trade-qualified Automotive Technician with strong dealership experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to use technical software
  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Highly skilled in vehicle diagnostics, with both mechanical and electrical systems
