Laundry Assistant Job Opportunity

This role is based in a fast-paced aged care site, where specialized care is given to residents with dementia and complex care needs. As a laundry attendant within the support services team, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality services to our residents in accordance with our organizational mission and vision statement.

Our ideal candidate must feel comfortable conversing with residents and working in this environment. They should be available to commence at 6am and have a valid driver's license to operate a laundry cart.

The successful individual will be responsible for collecting, laundering, processing, and delivering professionally cleaned linen to internal and external customers. They will also communicate effectively with managers and other staff to ensure timely action and completion of laundry-related issues.

In addition to their technical skills, our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, launder, process, and deliver professionally cleaned linen to internal and external customers
  • Communicate effectively with managers and other staff to ensure timely action and completion of laundry-related issues
  • Drive laundry cart around facility, practicing work safety methods at all times
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license to operate a laundry cart
  • Availability to commence at 6am
  • Previous experience working in a laundry facility (desirable)
