The Office for Early Childhood Development is embarking on a transformative journey to champion change and build a system that gives all South Australian children a flying start to life. As the Early Childhood Implementation Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping this movement by supporting the roll-out of universal 3-year-old preschool and other sector-shaping initiatives across the state.

This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to a statewide initiative that supports children's learning, development, and wellbeing from the earliest years. You will work collaboratively with a team that values impact, community connection, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level coordination and administrative support to ensure smooth implementation of early childhood reforms.
  • Manage scheduling, meetings, travel logistics, and diary coordination for the Regional Manager and team.
  • Manage administrative processes such as minute-taking, correspondence tracking, document management, and action item follow-ups.
  • Support data collection, minor research, and implementation of local projects.
  • Assist with financial processes, HR tasks, and internal compliance reporting.
  • Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring professional, timely, and responsive communication.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills, including juggling competing priorities under pressure.
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills with a commitment to proactive support.
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative, exercising discretion and sound judgment.
  • Competence with ICT systems including Microsoft Office.

Benefits

You will enjoy:

  • Working within a statewide network of passionate and collaborative Local Teams.
  • Engaging in meaningful work that connects communities, supports service providers, and ensures long-term, equitable outcomes.
  • Enjoying flexible working arrangements with hybrid working options and hours available.
  • Growing your career in a progressive public sector environment offering flexibility, support, and professional development.

How to Apply

Applications should be made through the IWorkForSA website. Applicants must submit a CV, Pre-employment Declaration, and a cover letter outlining their suitability against the key competencies in the attached Position Description.

Additional Information

This is a 2-year long-term part-time contract role with the potential to be made ongoing. This role will be based in Port Adelaide, supporting our Local Teams. This is a part-time opportunity (0.5 FTE) with flexibility around workdays available.
