Intensive Care Role

We are seeking an experienced ICU Specialist to join our healthcare team at a major clinical teaching and research centre in Hobart, Tasmania. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires significant intensive care experience and knowledge.

About the Position

  • Manage multiple complex patient cases and coordinate new referrals within the ICU unit
  • Supervise, teach and delegate to Registrars, SRMOs and RMOs including advanced trainees
  • Perform procedures and airway management in critically ill adult patients
  • Initiate complex resuscitation efforts independently

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Two years full-time, broad Intensive Care Medicine experience
  • Genuine independence in initiating complex resuscitation and procedures
  • Advanced vascular access ultrasound skills advantageous

Ambulatory Services Offered

The hospital provides acute, sub-acute, mental health and aged care inpatient services to a population of about 240,000 people with 550 physical beds available.
