Located in the heart of a vibrant community, our facility caters to up to 117 residents who enjoy a modern and familiar living environment. We are seeking a dynamic and self-driven individual to join our team as a Lifestyle Officer. A friendly and helpful disposition, together with your passion for delivering excellent customer service, will see you excel in this role.

This varied position includes developing and implementing comprehensive lifestyle programs that cater to diverse interests and needs. You will coordinate, supervise, and participate in daily lifestyle and therapy activities under the guidance of our Facility Manager and Occupational Therapist.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement meaningful lifestyle programs
  • Coordinate daily delivery of lifestyle and therapy activities
  • Participate in admissions process by promoting lifestyle programs and assisting with settling residents into their rooms
  • Act as a resource to uphold excellence in dining principles and liaison between resident food services
  • Manage lifestyle programs, including intergenerational activities, bookings, and bus trips
  • Organize resident and relative meetings
  • Coordinate volunteers
  • Regularly attend dining services

Requirements of the Role

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
  • A genuine interest in working with older people
  • Experience in therapy (essential)
  • Experience in aged care (desirable)
  • Experience in hospitality (desirable)
  • A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher qualification
  • Proven experience in coordinating enjoyable lifestyle programs in aged care
  • Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance
