">We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Appeals Officer and Academic Integrity Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the academic community.
">About the Role
">In this position, you will be responsible for managing student appeals related to academic misconduct and progression. You will work closely with various university committees, advising them on regulatory compliance and procedural matters.
">You will also be required to develop a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies, as well as investigate and determine allegations, assess outcomes, and ensure compliance with policies.
">Key Responsibilities
">- Manage all aspects of student appeals, including assessing eligibility, attending hearings, and recording determinations.">
- Provide support and advice to various university committees, including the Student Appeals Committee and General Misconduct Appeals Committee.">
- Participate in staff training and development initiatives to educate and foster strong working relationships with university stakeholders.">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- A tertiary qualification, such as a legal qualification.">
- Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.">
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, potentially from a legal, advocacy, compliance, investigative, or employee relations background.">
- Able to develop a strong understanding of legislation and policies related to student conduct and academic progression.">
- Demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University's values, including integrity, respect, rational inquiry, personal excellence, and courage.">
