Job Title: Forklift Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet of forklifts.

About the Role:

This is a full-time on-site position located in Perth, Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on forklifts and other materials handling equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on forklifts and materials handling equipment
  • Detect and diagnose mechanical issues with forklifts
  • Replace faulty parts and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Communicate with customers regarding service needs and repair updates
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with forklift maintenance and repair
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
  • Experience with hands-on repair and replacement of parts for forklifts or similar equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with customers
  • Capability to maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications or training in forklift mechanics (an asset)
