The Research Officer provides specialist scientific contribution to a range of scientific research and support services, under the professional direction of the Laboratory Head and Cancer Immunotherapy Group Leader in the Translational Oncology Laboratory at the Centre for Cancer Biology, Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting laboratory-based research, contributing to professional research planning functions, the sourcing, analysis and reporting on research data and information, and the maintenance and expansion of existing research networks, information-sharing and the building of research capacity within the group.
- Providing specialist scientific contribution to a range of scientific research and support services, under the professional direction of the Laboratory Head and Cancer Immunotherapy Group Leader.
- Contributing to the achievement of defined objectives, and the testing of stated hypotheses, with the purpose of acquiring and communicating new knowledge of value in the field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy.
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) or other Bachelor's degree covering fields relevant to the area of research.
- Expert knowledge of immunology and tumour biology.
- Proven experience in high-parameter flow cytometry, microscopy, cell culture and processing of human or mouse biological specimens, and animal tumour models.
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC).
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
