Regulatory Compliance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Expert to manage aspects of regulatory compliance and financial crime prevention.

This critical role ensures the organisation meets its legal and regulatory obligations, with a particular focus on anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF), and broader conduct risks.

You will act as the primary compliance lead for the business, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, including ASIC obligations, AFSL conditions, Corporations Act, and AUSTRAC AML/CTF Rules.

  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Design and implement internal compliance and risk management frameworks
  • Act as the registered MLRO for Australia
  • Oversee the full AML/CTF programme
  • Prepare and file SMRs with AUSTRAC
  • Maintain and update the AML/CTF Program
  • Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, AML/CTF or regulatory roles within financial services or fintech
  • In-depth understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks
  • Track record of successfully managing AML/CTF programs and risk frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of international best practices
