About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Chandler Macleod as a Dockhand/Freight Handler in Enfield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and dock areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manual Freight Handling: You will be responsible for manually handling freight, including loading and unloading trucks, and stacking and wrapping pallets.
  • Liaising with Truck Drivers: You will need to liaise with truck drivers to ensure quick turnaround, while actively following all safety regulations and exclusion zones.
  • Warehouse Operations: You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment, including adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Consistent Attendance: You will need to demonstrate consistent attendance, particularly during peak periods.
  • Own Transport: You will need to have your own reliable transport to and from work.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You will need to possess strong communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and truck drivers.
  • Punctuality and Reliability: You will need to be punctual and reliable, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Security Clearance: You will need to be able to pass a police check and a drug and alcohol test.
