About the Role:

  • Lead Infection Prevention and Control initiatives in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention strategies across the organization.
  • Collaborate with department managers, clinical staff, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and adherence to infection control standards.
  • Maintain and manage staff vaccination records and administer vaccinations as required.
  • Deliver infection control training and participate in staff orientation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with infection control standards and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to promote best practices in infection prevention.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on infection control protocols and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in infection prevention and control.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Infection Prevention and Control or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading infection prevention and control initiatives in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
