Heavy Diesel Fitter Team Lead

This is an opportunity to take on a challenging role as our next Heavy Leading Hand Diesel Fitter.

The Yilgarn Mine region includes the Koolyanobbing, Windarling and Parker Range sites. The area is known for its diverse geology and cultures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team following directives.
  • Perform routine servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of equipment in accordance with industry standards.
  • Source technical information from reference manuals and computer-based systems.
  • Provide technical guidance to staff and operations personnel.
  • Source and requisition parts and/or equipment requirements through approved channels.
  • Verify implementation of solutions and/or control further non-conforming machinery until deficiencies are corrected.
About You / Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years' mining experience with exposure to leading or supervising mobile maintenance HD Fitters.
  • Positive leadership style with exceptional time-management skills and ability to guide and supervise the maintenance team.
  • Experience in planning and executing servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Commitment to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to ensure accurate paperwork completion by tradespeople.
  • Proactive approach to delivering quality work.
  • High Risk Work Licences – WP, LF and Rigging (advantageous).
