Enterprise Risk Governance and Practice Leader

You will be responsible for shaping the risk governance landscape across the EQT Group. This role involves working closely with executive leadership, Boards, and committees to ensure effective risk management practices.

About the Role:
  • Risk Framework Development: Develop and refine risk frameworks, policies, and governance structures that align with regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Relationships: Build strong relationships with key regulators and industry bodies including APRA, ASIC, AFCA, FSC.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the Enterprise Risk team and internal teams, reporting to Boards and committees on risk management and compliance matters as required.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee key projects, strengthen risk controls, and enhance GRC systems to ensure operational excellence.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and develop a high-performing risk team.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in superannuation or trustee services, with deep risk management and regulatory expertise.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, including influencing Boards, regulators, and senior stakeholders.
  • Communication: Strong communication and decision-making skills with a commercially aware, client-focused mindset.
  • Proactive Approach: A proactive, service-oriented, and results-driven approach, with a passion for continuous improvement.
