Clinical Care Manager Role

Overview:

This is a key leadership position for an experienced Clinical Nurse to oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care in a residential aged care setting.

  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Oversee patient care delivery to ensure high standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients' families to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Address and resolve patient care issues and concerns in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily operations of the clinical unit, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
  2. Ensure the unit is adequately staffed and equipped to meet patient needs.
  3. Monitor and manage unit budgets, excluding expenses related to personnel costs.
  4. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  5. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  6. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration and clinical experience in aged care working in a residential setting.
  • Lead, train, and mentor staff in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of AN-ACC and audits.
