As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the hotel's financial functions.
You will oversee day-to-day financial processes, ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies, and provide leadership to the Finance team.
Your responsibilities will include preparing accurate financial reports, assisting in budget preparation, ensuring internal controls, and supporting departmental profitability through cost-effective measures.
You will work closely with all department heads, providing financial insights and training, monitoring revenue and expenditure, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal audit requirements.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the operational success and financial integrity of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations
- Ensure compliance with laws and policies
- Provide leadership to the Finance team
- Prepare accurate financial reports
- Assist in budget preparation
- Ensure internal controls
- Support departmental profitability
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Finance, in a variety of roles
- Hotel experience is highly desirable
- Analytical approach to problem solving, strong business acumen, and strong numerical reasoning
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Experience in Sun Systems, Opera Cloud Preferred
- Full working rights in Australia
