Job Title: Tradesperson - Construction and Maintenance

We are seeking a skilled Tradesperson to undertake construction, maintenance and inspection tasks for Council-owned buildings and facilities. As a key member of our maintenance and construction crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and development of our facilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a Building Trade certificate or similar and have current General Construction Induction Card. A 'C' Class Driver's Licence is also required.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake various tasks including construction, maintenance and inspections of Council-owned buildings and facilities.
  • Provide quality service and advice on building and facilities to customers.
  • Manage electrical goods test and tag program.
  • Assist with building specifications and estimates for projects.
  • Inspect and programme Council buildings maintenance with officers.
Work Environment:

This position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions. You will be required to perform manual laboring tasks regularly, including climbing, shoveling, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, squatting, reaching and stretching.
