Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The role of Facilities Maintenance Specialist involves providing high-quality maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an individual with a passion for delivering excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to routine and urgent maintenance requests to maintain optimal facility conditions.
  • Perform regular maintenance and servicing of equipment according to schedules and essential measures.
  • Maintain the upkeep of vehicles, ensuring they are regularly serviced, cleaned, and in safe working order.
  • Carry out minor renovations of vacant resident rooms, apartments, and units as required.
  • Undertake minor repairs including plastering, woodwork, and painting.
  • Inspect and clean drains and stormwater pits regularly.
  • Pressure clean driveways and walkways to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
  • Ensure waste bins storage areas are kept clean and well-maintained.
  • Clean grounds surrounding all buildings and courtyards on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current satisfactory police check.
