As a Food Preparation Specialist at Pier One Sydney Harbour, you'll play a vital role in preparing and presenting dishes according to our high standards. Your attention to detail, creativity, and passion for cooking will shine through in every meal you prepare.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to our strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Minimize waste and utilize surplus control measures effectively.
  • Maximize your productivity and efficiency, ensuring seamless operations in the kitchen.
  • Store food according to our 43-point checklist, guaranteeing quality and safety.
  • Prepare and serve dishes according to our established standards, showcasing your culinary skills.
  • Produce visually appealing dishes under supervision, highlighting your creativity and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to standard recipes and presentation guidelines, ensuring consistency across all dishes.
  • Ensure all equipment, utensils, and furniture are clean and functional at all times.
  • Conduct regular checks to maintain high levels of sanitation and hygiene in assigned areas.
  • Maintain a safe kitchen environment, preventing accidents and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Practice effective communication with other departments, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
  • Demonstrate motivation, professionalism, and a strong team spirit in your daily work.
  • Report any incidents, hazards, or concerns to the Chef de Partie promptly.
  • Stay informed about hotel fire, safety, and security procedures, ensuring your awareness and preparedness.
  • Be willing to perform shifts and duties in various kitchen and food and beverage areas as required by management.

**Salary:** The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$95,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.
