About the Role

As a key member of the R&D team, you will be responsible for designing, validating, and implementing packaging solutions that balance innovation, cost efficiency, and environmental considerations.

  • Lead the development of innovative packaging designs for new and existing products across multiple categories.
  • Drive the company's packaging sustainability agenda, focusing on reducing plastic usage, increasing recycled content, and improving recyclability.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source eco-friendly materials and cost-effective packaging solutions.
  • Ensure packaging compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate packaging designs, conduct trials, and oversee specification control.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree qualification in a relevant field, such as packaging or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in packaging development within the FMCG sector or a similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of corrugated cardboard, rigid/flexible plastics, and barrier properties.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with third-party manufacturing companies.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A passion for sustainable packaging and continuous improvement.
