Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing communication disorders, designing and implementing treatment plans, and providing education to clients and their families. You will also be involved in health promotions and quality improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Degree in Speech Pathology and registration with Speech Pathology Australia. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or disability services is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders
  • Design, trial, and implementation of low-tech and high-tech communication devices
  • Development, implementation, monitoring, and review of treatment plans
  • Assessment and management of swallowing difficulties
  • Coordination with other allied health professionals and GPs
  • Provision of education to clients, families, and other practitioners/staff
Benefits

We offer a generous base salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus travel allowance and superannuation. You will also receive support and mentoring from our committed and professional SP Manager, as well as annual professional development funds and ongoing opportunities for professional growth.

  • Degree in Speech Pathology and registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and clear report writing skills
  • Experience working with NDIS or disability services (desired)
  • Current driver's license and own vehicle (essential)
