
Financial Markets Compliance Specialist

We're seeking a skilled professional to play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial markets.
As a Market Oversight Professional, you'll be responsible for identifying and assessing regulatory strategies and interventions to support compliance and address misconduct or market integrity risks.
- Develop and implement evidence-based recommendations to ensure the suitability and ongoing appropriateness of financial products admitted to public markets.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on market developments and emerging issues to inform regulatory priorities, law reform, and guidance.
- Draft clear, concise reports and submissions on regulatory matters, including contributions to Commission papers.
To succeed in this role, you'll need strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data to inform regulatory judgments.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate effective engagement and contribute to the development of regulatory policy.

RequirementsFor this role, we're looking for professionals with tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, economics, or law, and experience working as an analyst in a regulatory, corporate, consulting, or academic setting.
A foundational understanding of exchange-traded financial products—such as cash equities, futures, and OTC derivatives—and financial market infrastructure is highly desirable.
You'll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage effectively with stakeholders.
