Austchrome is a dynamic company that values innovation and simplicity. As the HSE Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping a healthy and safe workplace through advice, guidance, and support on all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and working practices to empower employees to work safely and healthily.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on HSEQ matters, driving cultural change and engagement.
  • Facilitate workplace rehabilitation for injured workers in consultation with medical professionals.
  • Conduct risk management and auditing to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Implement health initiatives to promote employee well-being.
  • Maintain accurate documentation as per the company's document management standard.
  • Report safety performance to the Sime Darby Industrial Solutions group.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate IV in OHS or equivalent.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Teams, online reporting systems, and Rapid Global contractor management systems.
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment or similar heavy industry.
  • Proven background in HSEQ, cultural change, and engagement.
  • Qualification in Return to Work and Rehabilitation (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • ISO certification experience.
