Job Title: Personal Care Worker

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate individuals to provide personal care requirements to clients in their place of residence.

The role involves delivering high-quality, person-centered care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for maintaining standards of practice in relation to infection control, as well as promoting independence and coping mechanisms among recipients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a range of personal care tasks based on assessed needs as determined by the care plan.
  • Encourage and promote recipients' independence and coping mechanisms.
  • Assist with medications as per scope of practice.
  • Apply medical aids.
  • Document completed tasks in patient files after each visit.
  • Provide feedback to the Registered Nurse if any changes are observed in the client's mental or physical health, or environment.
  • Seek clarification of delegated roles from the Registered Nurse as required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hold a Certificate 3 in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support.
  • Current First Aid Certificate Level 2.
  • Victoria Driver's license.
