We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Engineer Specialist to join our Mine Development & Studies team within Mine Technical Services.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing mine planning activities to support Mine Development Studies for the next tranche of Pilbara mines
- Strategic pit and dump strategy development
- Mine, Rehabilitation and Closure design
- Approvals and resource development coordination
- Support to ore reserve reporting
You will have the opportunity to learn and grow as a technical professional, working with industry-leading systems and processes.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in mine planning, pit optimisation, design concepts and closure related planning in a large open pit mining environment
- Exposure to mining studies and understanding of the requirement of different study stages
- Strong understanding of the fundamental concepts that underpin value in the mining industry
- High degree of computer literacy, including knowledge of mine planning/design software (Vulcan/Deswik/Datamine, Whittle)
- Knowledge of ATS or any other Mine Planning/scheduling software will have preference
- Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
