Job Title: Clinical Educator in Medicine

The University of Newcastle is seeking a dedicated academic to contribute to the teaching, assessment, and academic support of medical students enrolled in the Joint Medical Program (JMP). The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, demonstrating excellence in teaching and learning, research and innovation, and service and engagement.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the teaching and assessment of medical students in Years 3, 4, and 5 of the MD program.
  • Develop and implement curriculum materials and assessments.
  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning, research and innovation, and service and engagement.
Requirements:
  1. A doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing in Medicine.
  2. Current registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions, notations, or conditions.
  3. Proven experience in teaching, assessment, and/or curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  4. Evidence of leadership through peer mentoring or clinical leadership roles.
