The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Center Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the center leadership team, you will be responsible for driving overall center results in partnership with the Centre General Manager. Your primary focus will be to coach, mentor, and develop the center team to ensure continuous improvement, maximize financial performance, operational efficiency, and brand awareness.

Your impact will be seen in:
  • Leading the center team in line with the Dexus Leadership Charter to meet customer, retail partner, and investor needs.
  • Maintaining high presentation standards across all customer touchpoints, including retailer displays, casual leasing, and common area activations.
  • Collaborating in the preparation of the Center Business Plan with Leasing, Operations, and Marketing disciplines.
  • Contributing to annual budgets for income and expenditure using a zero-based approach with Finance and Operations Managers.
  • Reviewing and endorsing financial reports with Finance Manager and monthly Owners report.
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance in rent roll, extended trade, and ad hoc billings.
  • Leading the Administration team and maintaining property management system (Yardi) and databases with head office support.
  • Managing retailer debt in line with established benchmarks and KPIs with Retail Manager.

About You
You are a confident, commercial, and relationship-focused professional with a flair for financials and strong attention to detail. You thrive in harmonious and high-performing environments where people work together to deliver. You bring:
  • Experience in retail property management or a national retailer as Assistant Center Manager or similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including Retail Leases Act and OH&S Legislation.
  • Strong business acumen, financial, and accounting skills.
  • Proficiency in Yardi is an advantage but not necessary.
  • Able to use initiative and take full responsibility of task completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership ability to develop a high-functioning team.
