Commercial Estimator Role
">We are seeking an experienced Commercial Estimator to join our South Yarra team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating, with expertise in interpreting plans, preparing take-offs, and sourcing competitive pricing.
">The successful Estimator will be responsible for the full estimating process, including reviewing architectural and engineering plans, preparing accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates, and assisting in tender submissions and pricing strategies.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Reviewing architectural and engineering plans to define project scope">
- Preparing accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labour, materials, and subcontractors">
- Sourcing and comparing supplier/subcontractor pricing">
- Assisting in tender submissions and pricing strategies">
- Monitoring budgets and tracking cost changes throughout projects">
Requirements:
">Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction
Proficiency in CostX, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar estimating software
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing
Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
Formal training in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (advantageous)
