
Home Health Care Specialist

As a Nurse Home Visitor, you will work closely with community family partnership workers to provide home visiting and education services to women pregnant with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander baby and their families. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of these families and contribute to the well-being of Indigenous communities.
Key aspects of this role include fostering culturally safe relationships, promoting high-level engagement, and ensuring successful program outcomes. To achieve this, you will need to demonstrate understanding of nursing processes, build therapeutic relationships, and utilise sound problem-solving techniques.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a registered nurse or midwife with a minimum of 2 years' clinical experience, preferably in Maternal and Child Health. Ongoing training and professional development opportunities will be provided to help you develop your skills and knowledge further.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Demonstrate understanding of nursing processes and clinical expertise
- Build therapeutic relationships and maintain therapeutic boundaries
- Utilise sound problem-solving techniques and negotiation skills in accordance with motivational and interviewing and behaviour change theory
