The role of Senior Mental Health Clinician is pivotal in providing and supporting mental health assessment and treatment for individuals requiring urgent, short-term, or ongoing community-based services.

Job Description

This position involves shift leadership, guiding, and supporting a team while serving as the first escalation point. The clinician will also support the orientation and development of less experienced staff, utilizing skills in assessments, early discharge management, telephone triage, and PACER responses.

The clinician must have a strong understanding of crisis intervention, counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation to effectively manage consumers with major mental illnesses.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in mental health, including acute inpatient and/or community care
  • Management and leadership experience
