The Opportunity

The Cabinetmaking Teacher is responsible for delivering educational programs and facilitating learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

This role involves a broad range of activities which directly and indirectly support learning through the delivery of educational programs.

As the state's largest provider of vocational training, we play an important role in delivering future-focused, responsive, and flexible skills education to the people of NSW, regardless of who they are, or where they live.

Our educators underpin the delivery of quality educational outcomes and exceptional learner experiences. Their industry connections and educational leadership enrich our services and contribute to the social fabric of the communities we serve.

About You

You are passionate about sharing your extensive industry experience in cabinetmaking and supporting the next generation of student learners.

In this role, you will be able to not only impart your technical skills but also the industry standard safety culture to your students.

Equally, it is essential that you understand current and emerging industry skills in this high-risk profession so we can be responsive to deliver a pipeline of highly skilled and in-demand workers.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Cabinetmaking or equivalent in Kitchen, Bathroom Manufacturing.
  • Certificate of Proficiency (Desirable)
  • Three (3) years relevant post-qualification industry experience within the last 3-5 years, with at least one (1) year's experience in an Australian workplace context.
  • Hold a Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent

For casual positions, you need a visa that gives you permission to work in Australia.

A suitability list may be created for this position, and future opportunities with positions of the same classification that subsequently become vacant may be filled using this suitability list which will be valid for 3-years.
