Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee as an Independent Member.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in human resources management, governance, and strategic planning.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to the development of the CEO's performance plan and reviews, ensuring alignment with best practices in the industry.

The Independent Member will be responsible for:

  • Providing impartial and expert advice to the Committee on HR matters
  • Facilitating the development of the draft CEO performance criteria and performance review methodology
  • Conducting research and providing benchmarking advice on remuneration packages

The successful candidate will be entitled to a sitting fee per meeting and reimbursement of travel costs in line with ATO rates.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves preparing relevant documentation, conducting and maintaining records regarding the CEO's performance plan and reviews. The Independent Member will also review the CEO's remuneration package and conditions of employment.

Key deliverables include:

  1. Developing and implementing effective HR strategies to support business objectives
  2. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  3. Providing high-quality advice and recommendations to the Committee
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in human resources management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, governance, and strategic planning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will be appointed for up to a two-year term, with an option for two one-year extensions.
