Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned project leader to spearhead the successful delivery of brownfields and sustaining capital projects for resource companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams, and excellent communication abilities.

This role involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations, safety standards, and project timelines. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external contractors to coordinate resources and ensure efficient project execution.

The selected individual will be responsible for developing and managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery. Additionally, they will identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of brownfields and sustaining capital projects for resource companies, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external contractors to coordinate resources and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering from a recognised institution.
  • Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams on brownfields and sustaining capital projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including cost control, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in the preparation of proposals, tenders, and RFQs.
