About this Role

We are seeking a specialist in behaviour support to lead our approach to behaviour support and restraint in Victorian government schools.

The successful applicant will have a track record of providing advice to service systems, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Influencing organisational strategy to inform work area decisions
  • Maintaining a proactive stance and acting on opportunities
  • Adapting to changing priorities and new ideas
  • Effective people management and development
  • Developing and establishing policy using evidence, consultation, and awareness of current issues
  • Maintaining and developing stakeholder relationships
  • Providing authoritative advice to senior leaders about behaviour support, restraint, and broader clinical issues
  • Leading the delivery of multiple projects with associated financial responsibility

This role is part of our leadership team and currently has six direct reports.

Requirements

- Experience working in schools directly with students

- Ability to develop and implement effective and sustainable policies to support students and staff

Certification as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst is essential for this role.
