Job Title: Asset Officer

Join Gough Recruitment AU as we seek an experienced Asset Officer to play a critical role in managing and optimizing our client's asset portfolio.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional to oversee asset tracking, maintenance, and performance analysis to ensure efficient utilization and compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of property assets, including inventory tracking and condition assessments.
  • Coordinate and manage various asset management programs and activities to support strategic maintenance objectives.
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnose defects, coordinating repairs and maintenance efficiently.
  • Prepare, oversee, and audit planned, cyclical, and vacant maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies while monitoring contractor performance against agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement best practices and enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in the residential construction or asset management sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing legislative maintenance requirements and a strong understanding of building compliance and safety standards.
  • Proven project management skills with a focus on achieving results on time and within budget.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and coordinate with multiple contractors and stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Current Queensland Driver's License and Construction Induction White Card.
