Lead Finance Role in North Queensland

We are seeking a highly skilled finance leader to join our client, a progressive and dynamic primary production organisation based in North Queensland. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the finance function and driving strategic initiatives to support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial performance reporting and compliance strategies
  • Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and depreciation schedules
  • Oversee cashflow and budget management, providing regular reports to the Managing Director
  • Review and improve existing finance policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Farm Managers and stakeholders to enhance financial systems and processes
  • Manage annual budgets, P&Ls, balance sheets, and cashflow, with a focus on business-specific requirements
  • Provide expert advice on financial performance, budgeting, and future cash flow requirements
  • Work closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement the company's financial strategic plan

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualification with proven experience leading a finance function
  • Strong business acumen and ability to provide insights to support business owners
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

This is a site-based role with accommodation provided, suitable for a family. The local region offers easy access to schools and local facilities in a rural location.
