Civil Design Engineer Role

Our team seeks a Civil Engineer with 5-12 years of experience to work on road and highway projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review road and highway designs using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA standards, guidelines, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and other team members to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Prepare project plans, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis for roadworks, intersections, and other civil infrastructure elements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Liaise with Main Roads WA, local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct reviews of designs and documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5-12 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on road and highway projects.
  • Proven experience working on projects with Main Roads WA or similar transport authorities.
  • Proficiency in road design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or 12D.
  • Strong knowledge of MRWA standards, guidelines, and engineering practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
