Job Title:

Senior Engineering Lead

About the Role:

This is a key position within our Water Division, responsible for leading and supervising structural consulting work. This includes client management, project scoping, project management, and technical expertise in all aspects of structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership on water/wastewater, civil, and building-related projects, developing designs, supervising teams, and reviewing projects.

  • Offer technical expertise, direction, and coaching on design tasks, project progress monitoring, and resourcing.

  • Lead multidisciplinary projects as the Project Structural Lead to deliver agreed-upon outputs within quality standards.

  • Deliver high-quality designs that consider client project briefs, risk appetite, professional obligations, and reputation.

  • Mentor junior structural staff by coaching within projects, ensuring technical advancements, and engaging with industry bodies for professional development.

  • Support Group Leaders and Project Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering field.

  • Chartered Engineer or working towards.

  • 8 years' experience in an engineering consultancy.

  • Leadership abilities, including managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Knowledge of structural engineering, dams/hydro.

  • Highly developed problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Strong understanding of delivery environment.

  • Solid report writing skills.

  • Proficient in Project Management Tools, MS Project, Power BI.
