Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Health and Safety Specialist to lead our organization's safety culture, compliance, and risk initiatives in a high-risk operational environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of WHS regulations, experience in high-risk environments, and excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
This role involves partnering across various teams to deliver meaningful safety improvements and coaching frontline leaders. The successful candidate will be able to drive continuous improvement and contribute to strategic safety planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Champion a proactive safety culture and coach teams on best practices
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS regulations
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Deliver training on safety systems, fatigue management, and emergency response
- Engage with regulatory bodies and support audit preparations
- Drive continuous improvement and contribute to strategic safety planning
- Qualifications in WHS or a related field
- Experience in high-risk environments
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
- In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation and systems
A passion for safety with a collaborative and influential mindset is essential for this role.
