We are seeking an exceptional academic to join our faculty as a lecturer or senior lecturer in cost management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and research in the area of cost management, with a focus on developing and delivering high-quality education programs. In addition to teaching, the role involves conducting impactful research, fostering industry connections, and contributing to faculty leadership.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality education programs in cost management and quantity surveying, incorporating innovative teaching methods.
- Conduct impactful research in cost management and quantity surveying, producing high-quality publications and securing external funding.
- Foster industry connections through collaborative research links with industry partners and professional bodies.
- Contribute to faculty leadership through participation in planning, committee work, and administrative tasks.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An accomplished background in cost management or quantity surveying, with a strong commitment to teaching excellence.
- A proven track record of research or potential for research excellence.
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the university level.
- Expertise in traditional construction cost-related areas and interest in BIM technology.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
