Job Title: Turbo Machinery Technician

  • Technical expertise and hands-on experience with rotating equipment are required for this position.

  1. This role involves troubleshooting, commissioning projects, service and maintenance inspections, equipment removal, and installation of turbo-machinery products across WA and NT.

  2. Work effectively at customer sites to meet expectations and ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policy, manufacturers' recommendations, and industry best practices.

  3. Proactively recognize electrical/mechanical abnormalities and potential safety problems.

  4. Prepare detailed technical reports to stakeholders; management, engineering, and operations.

  5. Use sound judgment to analyze problems and provide solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  6. Work individually or with assigned technicians on preventive/corrective maintenance tasks.

  7. Conduct/oversee maintenance services or installation support to ensure they are carried out in line with Solar Engineering specifications, manufacturing recommendations, and in a safe manner.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience as a mechanical/electrical/instrumentation trade qualification holder or degree-qualified Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Controls disciplines is highly regarded.

  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and PLC systems is essential.

  • Able to write clear and concise technical reports.

  • Excellent customer focus and communication skills are necessary.

  • Ability to work autonomously or actively participate in a team environment.
