The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, has been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.

The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project's twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash, and the construction of portals – the entrances and exits to the tunnels – at the stabling facility.

About the Opportunity:

As a Senior Planner, you will lead the Planning function for the Tunnels area of the project, providing planning expertise and developing knowledge to coordinate Time, Performance, Cost, Risk, and Change management systems, procedures, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning expertise and developing knowledge to coordinate Time, Performance, Cost, Risk, and Change management systems, procedures, and processes.
  • Actively look for and lead continuous improvement initiatives in Controls and Planning practices and technologies.
  • Maintain standards and processes for the assessment and approval of programs and elevate any identified risks and issues with subcontractors to the Business and Systems Manager and/or Construction manager as appropriate.
  • Support the Planning Manager through the provision of progress reports for presentation to the Project Management Team.
  • Ensure compliance with the project's policies, objectives, and statutory requirements.
  • Record and analyse KPIs and recommend areas of improvement to the C&P team.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated 3 to 7 years of project delivery experience in infrastructure or building.
  • 4+ years' experience in Tender, delivery, and strategic planning.
  • Proven competency with current industry-standard planning software, including Primavera P6, OPRA, Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project, Synchro, Navisworks, SketchUp, TILOS, and Chainlink.
  • Relevant Engineering degree.
