The role we are looking to fill is for the Head of Buying. This position requires an individual who can lead their team with expertise and vision, curating product ranges that resonate deeply with our customers.

The Role: Head of Buying

In this capacity, you will work closely with executive leadership to refine and execute the strategic vision, ensuring alignment between the buying function and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate an innovative buying and product vision, leveraging customer insights and market trends.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the Buying team, effectively communicating the strategic direction and translating it into actionable plans.
  • Collaborate with buying and planning teams to forecast, select, and develop product ranges that embody the larger creative vision of the brand.
  • Drive individual and team performance, fostering accountability and a results-driven mindset.
  • Establish and maintain competitive pricing strategies, while nurturing strong partnerships with suppliers.
  • Oversee OTB and seasonal plans, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and creative vision.

The Skillset:

  • Deep expertise and understanding of Buying with an eCommerce first business.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a Head of Buying or Senior Buyer role - ecommerce apparel preferred.
  • Relevant Buying or Business qualification.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor activity.
  • Retail maths and metrics.
  • Planning - understanding of planning and merchandising principles.

This is a full-time role based in the inner-city office in Sydney, offering a remuneration package level with the experience required as a Head of Buying/Senior Buyer for an eComm brand.
