Job Title: Receptionist and Switchboard Coordinator

The role of the Receptionist and Switchboard Coordinator is a vital part in providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at Peninsula Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to phone enquiries and operate the switchboard system with accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide directions and assistance to visitors and staff in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Deal with internal and external emergency calls/respond codes in a calm and professional manner
  • Assist with patient enquiries over the phone or in person
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills and experience with customer service software
  • Polite and considerate communication skills
  • A strong understanding of customer service principles and practices
  • Previous switchboard/reception experience
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
