Job Title: Leisure and Activities Coordinator

About the Position:

The Leisure and Activities Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring individual needs, wishes, and goals of each resident are met within an environment that promotes dignity and respect.

This position is part of an integrated team working within a framework to support residents in living their best life.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing tailored programs to improve quality of life for residents.
  • Awareness of residents' cultural and spiritual needs.
  • Developing programs catering to physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Regularly communicating proposed activities to inform residents, relatives, and staff.
  • Conducting programs promoting autonomy and independence.
  • Encouraging positive interaction, improved self-esteem, and a sense of achievement by assisting residents to participate fully in chosen activities.

About You:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience coordinating lifestyle programs in residential settings.
  • Experience conducting dementia-specific programs is advantageous.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to join a mission-based organisation committed to care for others.
