Job Description:

The Solar Senior Design Engineer is responsible for overseeing the conceptual and detailed engineering of solar projects. This involves developing specifications and collaborating with management to address any engineering concerns.

This role requires a skilled professional with extensive experience in solar PV engineering, particularly in utility-scale solar projects up to 100MW. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in PVSyst, Cymcap, PVCase, and RatedPower PV Design software, as well as strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and conducting professional engineering work independently.
  • Consulting and advising on specialist engineering areas.
  • Supervising and coordinating multi-disciplined design activities.
  • Managing technical interfaces between disciplines, equipment suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Assisting in preparing forecasts and constructability of projects.
  • Supervising commissioning activities with site teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in solar PV engineering, with a background in utility-scale solar projects up to 100MW.
  • Proficiency in PVSyst, Cymcap, PVCase, and RatedPower PV Design software.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams, manage multiple projects, and maintain a strategic focus.
  • Willingsness to travel for site-based work as needed.
