Senior Risk Consultant

The role is accountable for providing strategic guidance, direction, and support on risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity frameworks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement cyclical reviews of risk management processes to meet reporting obligations.
  • Provide high-level professional advice on risk management frameworks to senior officers.
  • Conduct research on emerging issues, identify implications, and develop issue papers for consideration by senior management.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and industry bodies.
  • Pursue other governance duties as assigned.

Technical Skills, Abilities, and Cultural Competence:

  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current risk management practices and trends.
  • Deliver presentations, facilitate discussions, and contribute to advisory services to enhance organizational capability.
  • Write clear, concise analytical reports.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities as required.
  • Enhance workplace equity, diversity, and inclusion through fostering a culture of respect.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Lead and manage teams through guidance, coaching, and empowerment.
