Senior Veterinary Medicine Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Veterinary Medicine Specialist to lead our medical services team at a reputable animal hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical cases, leading the internal medicine team in best practices and patient care.
  • Mentor junior veterinarians and veterinary nurses in patient care and continuous professional development.
  • Undertake advanced diagnostic evaluations using imaging, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate with surgical and specialty teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Ensure open and compassionate communication with clients about their pet's diagnosis and treatment options.
  • Maintain hospital protocols for internal medicine, focusing on continuous improvement and patient safety.

About You:

  • DVM or VMD degree with an active license to practice veterinary medicine.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in veterinary internal medicine, with at least 5 years as a senior veterinarian.
  • Memberships in internal medicine highly desirable but not required.
  • Strong passion for mentoring and teaching veterinary staff.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills with ability to work through complex cases.
  • Strong communication skills with clients and veterinary team.
  • Dedication to providing ethical patient care and client service.
