Senior Software Engineering Leader

Job Overview:

Lead a remote team of software engineers, foster talent through coaching and mentoring, set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, management, and external stakeholders. Collaborate closely with other leaders to produce an engineering roadmap with ambitious and achievable goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review software code as a leader
  • Run an effective team, develop the colleagues you manage
  • Help them grow as engineers, do meaningful work, find professional and personal satisfaction
  • Work well with colleagues and the community
  • Collaborate closely with other leaders, product managers, and architects
  • Produce an engineering roadmap with ambitious and achievable goals
  • Code reviews and architectural leadership are part of the job

 

Requirements:
  • Good experience in leading modern, agile software development practices
  • Experience in forming a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with company values
  • Demonstrative experience of being a role model for sound engineering principles and directly contributing toward your team's goals
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
  • Software development experience in Python (experience in Golang is a plus)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Practical experience with Linux system administration
