About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Childcare Room Leader to join our team in delivering high-quality early childhood education and care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Montessori Philosophy and be passionate about implementing Montessori early learning programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement children's programs that reflect the Early Years Learning Framework guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff and children, with particular attention to children with anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma etc.
  • Ensure accurate records of accidents, incidents, injuries, illnesses and medication.
  • Liaise with families on a daily basis.
  • Maintain observations and records of individual children's progress.
Requirements
  • Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
  • Experience working as a Room Leader in an early childhood setting.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of family communications.
  • Strong understanding of the Montessori Philosophy.
  • Well-versed in Montessori learning materials, curriculum areas, and progression.
