Senior Library Officer, Out of Hours

This role is an opportunity to work at one of Australia's leading cultural institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of customer-focused library services during evenings and weekends.
  • Help connect with communities and connect communities with their national collections.
  • Deliver efficient services across our Reading Rooms and Ask a Librarian service during evenings and weekends.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Library Officer specializing in out-of-hours operations. In this exciting role, you'll be integral to delivering customer-centric reference services within our Library's reading rooms.

You will address enquiries both onsite and through our online and phone reference channels, as well as assist users in navigating Library equipment, systems, and services.

Foster Relationships and Drive Innovation:

You'll have the opportunity to foster relationships both within and outside the organization, bring forth innovative ideas, and actively contribute to implementing service enhancements and workplace advancements.

Requirements:

To succeed in this position, you'll need qualifications or equivalent experience in Information Management, Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, or related fields.

Work Arrangement:

This role includes regular evening and weekend work undertaken during the Library's advertised reading room opening hours.
